The Reagan Administration and how it resembled the
Since our VCR was located in the living room and we used the television in the bedroom that had a timer, we always watched Alf Tales at 7 a.m. lying in bed with our dogs who often watched the show and got quite animated by what was happening on the screen and the sounds of the episode. I wish we had set the VCR to record each episode since there are only seven episodes available on DVD and it doesn't have this episode. This was one of the episodes where every line in the show was a joke to itself. It was an especially poignant episode since we'd just completed the Reagan Administration and this show had a Melmaccian king who looked and sounded like Ronnie Reagan and was just as out of touch as Ron's administration had been.(not that any administration of the U.S. in my lifetime has been "in touch"). The scenes of him being naked with all his subjects taking on over his new clothes and the fact the tailor was hailed as a great Melmaccian made it even more hilarious. Hopefully, we'll all be able to see the entire series some day. Hail to Melmac and it #1 export, Mayo.
