Godzilla Predated
All of Fleischer's Superman cartoons have an otherworldly look, using tremendous amounts of color...my print was awash in greens. Being a monster fan, I was astounded to see Godzilla predated by over a decade, not to mention Gorgo and the Beast From 20,000 Fathoms. Superman's way of besting the creature is indeed clever.

Amazing for 1942!
At first I thought that the writers had been inspired by the movies "Godzilla, King Of the Monsters", or the "Beast from 20,000 Fathoms", but then I backed up and noticed the copyright date of 1942!The color is good, the story is amazing for when it came out and it was refreshing to see the early version of the Superman character who couldn't really fly and had "super" strength rather than the almost god-like strength that the writers gave him in later decades.
