CLASSIC REMAKE IN COLOR!

Classic color remake of SHOEIN HORSES, with Popeye and Bluto competing for a job at Olive Oyl's Blacksmith Shoppe. But Bluto has designs for the job and Olive, which Popeye won't tolerate! Classic confrontation!

The only reason I give this a 4 instead of a 5 is that it was made with 2 strip color. There is too much red and makes it look like it was made using daylight film with tungsten light.

This is a good remake of the 1933 Fleischer cartoon, SHOEIN' HOSSES, which not only reworks the orginal concept, but is well drawn and well animated with good use of color. Perhaps the ending isn't as triumphant with Bluto beating his brains out with the hammers, but it certainly is one of the more successful remakes.
