A surprisingly classic effort from McKimson's late period.
Elvis & Pappy are much more formidable adversaries for Foggy than for Bugs (in "Backwoods Bunny"); Foggy actually ends up on the LOSING end, once or twice! The result is as effective a piece of character-driven comedy as any concurrent Jones or Freleng effort.
The "black-eyed peas" gag at the end is pretty lame, but forgivable in view of what's all preceded it.
