SPACE MAYHEM IN OUTER SPACE!
Popeye's first stint in outer space! Great! Imagine a fully fueled rocket in a museum! No way! Olive's sitting down on the starting lever was clever! It was only to be used one more time in Popeye's first television cartoon for King Features entitled "HITS AND MISSILES." (1960). Here visiting Cape Canaveral on Visitors day, Olive loses sight and direction when lands on the Blast-Off switch of the rocketship "LUNA ONE", thrusting Popeye, Olive Oyl and Wimpy crashing on the moon, where they encounter the CHEESE MEN OF THE MOON! It's funny Olive Oyl is thrusted out of the rocket, leaving Popeye alone soaing through outer space finally encountering MARS! Classi Sci-Fi comedy!
Rocket To Mars
One of the very best of the Famous Popeyes, this one's got imagination to spare and stark use of color throughout. It's miles ahead of the later "Popeye, The Ace Of Space."
