Tame to Dr. Greenthumb From Josie and the Pussycat

While Professor Meangreen wasn't as much fun or memorable as the Sidney Greenstreet villian of Dr. Greenthumb from the classic Josie & the Pussycats episode, the cartoon is more of a fascinating study for the anthropomorphism applied to Speed Buggy in this episode, especially as he poses at the beginning on board the ship, then falls over, bringing on the adventure.
Meangreen is given an assistant who does the Sidney Greenstreet impersonation, but the plants look like Sesame Street muppets.
Most Speed Buggy episodes do mimick Josie and the Pussycat shows.
