Gus Bought Gifts Before He found the Treasure!
Another dreadful episode of this Flintstones ripoff. Gus finds a treasure map and learns there is treasure on his own property.
Mr. Evictus wants the property to sell for a restaraunt and is trying to get Gus off with a clause in the tenants' lease saying he can be evicted if the Holidays make any noise.
Evictus installs some noise machine to measure sound. "Listen to this pin drop!" and we hear it as a booming drum.
Now, we have a burglar in the house, but Gus can't yell for the police because of the noise machine?
This cartoon is one of the most sidetracked and uninteresting cartoons I have ever seen.
It keeps clinging to the old plot ideas of buried treasure and wacky machines while trying to move the Flintstones into the seventies with groovy rock-and-roll hints.
Now everything is resolved when the police ask Holiday to testify against the man selling the fake maps and the man who wanted the property for his restaraunt finds a better location.
But what about the gifts? Gus has to wash dishes at the new restaraunt to PAY for them!
There would be no final knee-slapper if Gus hadn't suddenly bought all those silly gifts for everyone to begin with BEFORE he found any treasure!
Another clumsy watch from this show.
