All I could Think of Was . . Gabbo
Gabbo had been the rival of Krusty the Clown on the Simpsons in an episode guest starring Johnny Carson, Liz Taylor, Bette Midler and Luke Perry.
Even tho Jabberjaw is 20 years older than the Simpsons, when I watched Jabberjaw dressed like Zorro (in red, however) and calling himself El Jabbo, all I could think of was that little dummy on the Simpsons.
El Eel would freeze anyone into stone if they diobeyed him. It was essentially a Robin Hood type story, made no more interesting by Jabberjaw further posing as a counter to El Jabbo who would work for El Eel.
The song? Elton John must have watched this show, as it sounded just like one of his numbers.
It was called "You Got To Believe In Love." Isn't that profound?
We would get a small bit of "I Loved You once - once, once. I love you twice -twice is two times."
This song would turn up in several episodes, it seemed.
