My Favorite Short Story Cartoon 10 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: lonestar, September 11, 2009

As growing up in the 60's watching all the cartoons in black and white. I did not realize the beautiful animation colors that MGM had created (thanks Hanna-Barbera) until our mom bought our first color TV set. It was such a fondness to see MGM Cartoons in color.
The story of The Boy And The Wolf is my favorite of all their cartoons. The story line; the Mexican back round music; the laughs of the sheep and their expressions; the boy's stereo type voice (I don't mind, I'm Mexican-American myself); the fight of the perrito and the wolf with the perrito snapping a towel that sends the wolf into the cactus; the tease of the perrito to the boy with a loud booooooo...; and the ending with a hug of his protective dog... saying, my perrito, my perrito. Warner Brothers need to come out with a library of all the MGM Cartoons. What's up Warner Brothers! And with all the Flintstones too!
